5A Great Value  Nov 02, 2011 By M. G Watson "Miles Watson"
It may seem silly to review what amounts to a strip of monocolor cloth, but what the hell. I think this belt deserves a few words of praise.

I was recently awarded my brown belt in Tae Kwon Do. However, my master forgot that my waist is around a 35-36 and presented me with a Size 4 belt. As anyone who practices a belted martial art knows, having a belt that doesn't fit right not only makes you look a bit silly, it can also create problems. Too short and you're liable to come untied at a critical moment (I saw a guy lose an MMA fight in the old Pride FC organization because of this); too long and the end flap around in an annoying, distracting way. So I elected to buy a replacement belt from Solid Rank, and am very glad I did. The belt is about a quarter of an inch wider than the one I had been presented (1 3/4 inches, as opposed to 1 1/2), so it looks more impressive, and it also has a sturdier feel to the material, which will allow me the pleasure of breaking it in. The color is a rich, dark brown, not the more pallid hue of brown of the original. And lastly, the ends of the size 5 are of just the right length from the knot -- about 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches long.

In sum, what I ask of a belt is that it be a bold color, sturdy of construction, and the right width and length. For a very low price, about the same price as shipping, that is what I got. I would definitely use this company in the future, and recommend it to you.

Happy training!

Cheaply made. It took a while to get and was not a belt you can be prod to wear. I am disappointed.

1Misleading Product Description & HORRIBLE Customer Service  Mar 05, 2012 By A. Davis
We ordered the purple belt and the product description of the belt said it is 1 3/4" wide. When we received the belt it measures 1 1/2" wide. My husband is wanting to display his belts and all of his are 2" wide, so we figured a 1/4" difference wouldn't be that noticeable. However, 1/2" difference is very noticeable. I e-mailed the seller and they argued with me. First they said our old belts were 1 3/4" wide & probably just stretched over time to 2". Which is very possible, however the problem we have is that the description stated the width of the belt is 1 3/4" wide, NOT 1 1/2" wide. Then the seller contradicted themselves saying that all belts come in 2 standard sizes of 1 3/4" and 2". Still doesn't explain how we got a 1 1/2" wide belt. The seller didn't offer to send a wider belt, or even apologize for the misleading description. Will not buy from Martial Arts Land in the future. I'll take my business to Martial Arts Supermarket instead, they know how to treat their customers over there.

5great  Nov 29, 2011 By emilyhq
Very good quality and durable. Had to look up what the sizing numbers meant, but it was no big deal. Highly recommended.
